School Vision and Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide all HMS students the opportunity to be ready and prepared to enter high school without remediation instruction, based on scores of at or above the CAT-6, as well as in new performance and state content standards. Students at Huron Middle School will be prepared in basic skills, fine arts and the use of technology. They will develop a rich background in science and social studies. Graduates will be able to access, analyze and use information for sound decision making. The research-based model implemented into the school is America's Choice that focuses on the needs of students, transforming low-performance into high achievement. The model provides a framework of strategies and techniques.

Students will learn to appreciate diversity, and value service to the community. HMS is committed to providing an environment that will enhance the minds, lives, and values of the school community.
