School Vision and Mission Statement
Philosophy
The staff of Cambridge and Chesnut High Schools believes every student can
earn a high school diploma. We believe certain students respond to different
methods of motivation and direction in order to obtain that education. The
goals and objectives of the staff at Cambridge and Chesnut High Schools are
to assure each individual enrolled is given an opportunity to reach his/her
full educational potential.
The schools have adopted standards that are equal to those of the regular
high school with the difference being the method used to meet these standards.
Students work at their own pace, based on their particular needs and their
abilities. We defend this method with the belief that within each person there
is a desire for positive growth or self-improvement. Cambridge and Chesnut
High Schools seek out and implement these desires based on individual student
needs.
Mission
Accept the students where they are and help them develop into a contributive
citizen at the highest level possible within the limits of their abilities
and personality
